Time: 1/2 to 1 hour.

Distance: Up to 2 miles.

Getting to Walk 2/Parking: Exit the parking lot of Rockefeller State Park (Walk 1 of Short Escape 4) and follow Rte. 117 west until it ends. The parking lot for Rockwood Hall State Park is across the road from the start of the walk.

To Begin

It's a short, easy walk to a beautiful viewpoint. There's a small network of trails organized in loops that make it almost impossible to get lost, even without a map. Rockwood Hall, a 220-room mansion built by John D. Rockefeller's brother, William, once stood on these grounds.
