Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park is not only rich in history, it's also an outdoor-lover’s playground, offering camping and a variety of scenic hiking trails. Take a trip back to the 1800s on board the Fort Lincoln Trolley, which takes you along the banks of the Heart and Missouri Rivers and into the Fort. Visit the reconstructed home of George Armstrong Custer, as well as the former commissary, barracks and granary. Guided tours are available throughout the day. The Fort McKeen Post blockhouses offers incredible views of the Missouri River valley, so brave a trip up a few ladders to take in the view.
