Head north on I-87 (the NY State Thrwy.). Take the Thrwy. North to exit 18. Follow Rte. 299 west to New Paltz. Go through the town and continue on Rte. 299 west until it ends. Turn right onto Rtes. 44/55 north. Turn left into Lake Minnewaska State Park. Proceed to the main parking area atop the hill, just north of Lake Minnewaska.
From Albany, NY, and points north:
