Blue Hill at Stone Barns combines a working farm, restaurant, and educational center in the spectacular surroundings of Pocantico Hills just north of New York City in Westchester County. The dining experience is an education, experience, and exploration all at once of one of the region's most inventive cuisinary artists and his adjacent working farm that supplies much of what you'll dine on. This three hour-plus multi-course meal is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many because of the price tag starting at around $200 for a prix fixe meal. Located near the Land of Ichabod Crane walk, one of the most extraordinary in the region as well, you'll have to dust yourself off after your walk and put on a jacket and tie and for the women appropriate dress for fine dining.
