Montreal Retains Spot as Leading Convention City in the Americas

For the fourth straight year, Montreal ranks first in the Americas for international association events, ahead of New York, Washington, DC and Buenos Aires, according to the Union of International Association’s (UIA) International Meetings Statistics Report. Overall, the city hosted 79 international events during the last year. “We work alongside our partners to spark business opportunities aimed at maximizing tourism for the city and the resulting economic benefits,” says Yves Lalumière, President and CEO of Tourisme Montreal. “We are very pleased to see that Montreal tops the list of leading cities for international events.
