Named after "Empress of the Blues" Chattanooga-born musical legend Bessie Smith, the Bessie Smith Cultural Center celebrates the African diaspora, Chattanooga's rich African American history and America's iconic blues and jazz legacy. Centrally located on Chattanooga's iconic Martin Luther King Boulevard, the Bessie is a convenient location for all your event needs. With an array of event spaces, the Bessie Smith Cultural Center can host an intimate small gathering or a large-scale event with up to 1,000 attendees.
