From Manhattan and points east:
Go west over the George Washington Bridge into New Jersey. Follow Route 4 west through Hackensack and Teaneck. Route 4 turns into Route 208. Take Route 208 north. Merge into I-287 south to exit 57. Turn right onto Skyline Drive and follow it over a mountain. At a stop sign, stay left (you’re still on Skyline). At a second stop sign, turn left onto Route 511 south. Go 1 7/10 mi. Turn right onto Westbrook Road. Cross Wanaque Reservoir. At a fork in the road, bear left, following Westbrook Road. Pass Townsend Road and make the next left onto Snake Den Road. Bear left at the next fork, following Snake Den Road. Pass Ellen Street and turn right into the Weis Ecology Center parking lot. The center was permanently closed in 2012.
