Follow Rte. 27 past Hampton Bays and continue east as it merges with Rte. 39 and then becomes Montauk Highway. Stay on Montauk Highway through East Hampton and Amagansett. A few miles east of Amagansett pass a sign for "Hither Hills Western Boundary." Follow a sign bearing left to Montauk. Ignore a "Hither Hills State Park" sign to the right and continue to the top of a hill. Turn left into a parking lot for "Hither Hills West Overlook."
