A stunning park in the rolling hills of the valley dotted with forests of Aspen and Ponderosa pine and home to petrified redwood tree stumps of stunning size. The park offers a variety of scenic and relatively easy day hikes. This was the location of a bustling tourism site over a 100 years ago when a local lodge offered people the opportunity to dig for the fossils plentiful in the area.
