Showboat Branson Belle

What would a trip to Branson be without a live show with your meal? Visitors on the Branson Belle will enjoy a three-course meal, a variety show and great views along Table Rock Lake while on board this authentic paddle wheel “steamboat.” An emcee shares facts and stories about the performances you’ll see during the cruise and the Branson Belle itself during your meal. Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Drama Show

Since the 1960s, this outdoor show has told the story of Harold Bell Wright’s legendary novel, Shepherd of the Hills. You can take a tram tour of the early 20th-century homestead on the property, including Old Matt’s Cabin, which is the original home of the characters featured in the novel, or take in a nightly recreation of the book itself. Wright relocated to the Ozark region after being diagnosed with tuberculosis and stayed at the homestead of John and Anna Ross, where he returned every summer for eight years. The book based on his experiences was published in 1907, and millions of copies have been sold over the years. more...
