Since the 1960s, this outdoor show has told the story of Harold Bell Wright’s legendary novel, Shepherd of the Hills. You can take a tram tour of the early 20th-century homestead on the property, including Old Matt’s Cabin, which is the original home of the characters featured in the novel, or take in a nightly recreation of the book itself. Wright relocated to the Ozark region after being diagnosed with tuberculosis and stayed at the homestead of John and Anna Ross, where he returned every summer for eight years.
