Fresh off the opening of a new expansion, the North Dakota Heritage Center and State Museum is located on the state capitol grounds. Guests can take in a life-size T-Rex skeleton or exhibits of rare pottery and beadwork. There are thousands of artifacts and specimens, high-tech displays and interactive exhibits in four new museum galleries that trace North Dakota history from 600 million years ago through current developments and the oil boom.
