Shortescapes.net is based on a print travel guide originally published by Fodor’s. Shortescapes.net is now produced independently by the author with the support of Selling Communications Inc., a leader in integrated marketing communications and Internet publishing. Here is information on the author.

Bruce Bolger, an avid traveler and experienced walker, has explored the countryside in more than a dozen countries spanning four continents. Currently head of an integrated media, marketing, and technology company known as Selling Communications Inc., he has extensive experience in the fields of travel, print, electronic publishing, and marketing. He is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and attended the University of Paris in France. He lives outside of New York City with his wife, and has two college-aged children and one still at home.

Shortescapes.net uses professional travel writers to produce its Escapes in order to make sure that recommendations are balanced against the individual experiences or impressions of one or two travelers that can cast an unfair light on a destination, restaurant, hotel, shop, or service, through reader-rated Web sites. We believe that the profusion of conflicting comments from multiple travelers makes it even more difficult to make travel decisions.
